TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

Job Title Commercial Traffic Management Officer Job Description The position is located in the United States Property and Fiscal Office (USPFO). The purpose of the position is to: Plan, manage and direct the daily Commercial Traffic Management Program for both equipment and passenger movements; develop traffic management programs for both peacetime and wartime; provide technical traffic management advisory services; establish operating requirements; and formulate local commercial traffic management policies. Incumbent may be appointed as the Container Management Officer and as the Assistant Contracting Officer Representative (ACOR). Key responsibilities include: Serving as the technical transportation advisor to all statewide operating officials on all matters dealing with commercial movement of personnel and equipment. Ensuring that traffic management and transportation services required to support the mission are accomplished. Inspecting, or providing for inspection of, commercial carrier terminals to locate and expedite delivery of astray government shipments. Procuring domestic and international travel for both military and civilian passengers. Maintaining all transportation related automated systems and databases to support the Traffic Management Programs for the State. Executing duties and responsibilities to support mobilization, demobilizations, Homeland Security/Defense and State and Federal emergency operations. Accomplishing the full spectrum of support for state and Federal National Guard operations, training, readiness missions, natural disasters, and Homeland Defense/Defense Support of Civil Authorities (HLD/DSCA). Performing other related duties as assigned.
