Job DescriptionJob TitleFrontend Software Engineer (React)Overview / SummaryWe are seeking a Software Engineer with a strong focus on front-end development to design, develop, and maintain user interfaces for web applications. The role involves building responsive, user-friendly applications and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including designers, backend engineers, architects, and product managers to deliver high-quality features for connected device applications and APIs.Key ResponsibilitiesEngage with customers to understand use cases, pain points, and requirements with a user-centric approachDesign, develop, and deliver front-end solutions using modern tools, languages, frameworks, and technologiesAlign development work with architecture guidelines for consistency and scalabilityCollaborate with product owners, designers, backend developers, and architectsCreate mockups and prototypes and participate in UI design reviews and product demosPerform functional automated testing and UI testing to ensure software qualityImprove application performance by fixing bugs, optimizing code, and adopting new technologiesEnsure cross-browser compatibility, SEO principles, and accessibility standardsDevelop user interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as React and AngularStay updated with emerging trends in UI development and front-end technologiesParticipate in requirements gathering, user stories, and test case creationContribute to technical design, documentation, development, testing, and deployment activitiesSupport incident, problem, and change management activities including root cause analysisParticipate in on-call rotations for production supportUse DevOps tools for code quality, security, and deployment processesWork on delivery of applications involving React frontends and supporting backend servicesRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree6+ years of IT experience with at least 4+ years in software developmentStrong experience in React (minimum 3+ years in frontend development using React)Experience working with REST APIs (1+ year minimum)Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end development practicesExperience working in cross-functional Agile teamsFamiliarity with cross-browser testing, accessibility, and SEO principlesPreferred QualificationsExperience with Spring (1+ year)Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitHubExposure to GraphQLExperience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or AzureExperience with monitoring tools such as DynatraceExperience with React ecosystem tools (Redux, Context API, React Router, Jest, React Testing Library, Vite)Experience with Figma or design systems/component librariesExperience with React class components as well as functional components and hooksFamiliarity with OAS standards and RESTful API designWhat Makes HTC A Great Place To Build Your FutureHTC Global Services wants you to join our team.
