#934 - Python Developer (Infrastructure Automation)

Job Opportunity only available for residents in Bogota, Colombia.The position is remote; the only requirement is that the engineer should be open to working in the client's office in Bogota once every month when the Manager from the US is traveling there.We're looking for a strong Python developer with hands-on experience deploying applications in the cloud, automating infrastructure, and working closely with cloud and DevOps teams. This role focuses on building, maintaining, and improving infrastructure automation using Python and Infrastructure as Code practices.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain Python-based automation scripts and servicesAutomate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code toolsWork closely with DevOps, SRE, and platform teams to improve reliability and scalabilitySupport CI/CD pipelines related to infrastructure and application deploymentsTroubleshoot and optimize existing automation workflowsContribute to improving infrastructure standards, security, and best practicesRequired Skills And Experience5+ years of hands-on experience with Python development2–3 years of experience in infrastructure automationExperience with cloud platforms AWS (Other clouds like Azure, or GCP are a plus)Experience in Cloud Environment and deployment of applications in the cloud.Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code conceptsExperience with tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or similarSolid understanding of Linux, networking, and system fundamentalsExperience working in DevOps or platform engineering environmentsNice to HaveExperience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)Exposure to CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)Understanding of containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)Scripting beyond Python (Bash, Shell)What do we offer?100% Remote work.Competitive salary in USD.Type of contract: Independent Contractor with Venon Solutions LLC.2 weeks of PTO (paid time off).Contract: Short Term Holidays: from the Client's calendar (USA)Working hours: Full-time Colombian Time Zone, fully committed.
