AGROINOMY TECHNICIAN Seed Sales & Grain ProcurementIOM Grain LLC is a fast-growing company specializing in high-quality, food-grade soybean supply chains. Based in Portland, Indiana, we are building a strong and sustainable network of farmers across the Midwest.We are looking for a hands-on, driven Agronomy Technician to lead the development of our soybean production network through seed sales and grain procurement.This is a field-first, relationship-driven role with direct impact on company growth.🔳 YOUR ROLEYou will be at the heart of our operations, working directly with farmers to expand acreage,improve quality, and secure grain supply.Seed Sales Development● Promote and sell soybean seed varieties to farmers● Build and grow a strong customer base● Negotiate seed programs and acreage commitmentsFarmer Relationship Management● Develop long-term partnerships with producers● Provide agronomic support and crop monitoring● Act as a trusted advisor in the fieldGrain Procurement● Source and secure soybean production from growers● Negotiate grain purchase agreements● Recommend and execute pricing strategies within company guidelinesBusiness Development & Reporting● Track volumes, forecasts, and pipeline● Contribute to the company growth strategy● Support logistics coordination when needed🔳WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Education● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, or related fieldExperience● Entry-level accepted● Strong connection to agriculture required● Knowledge of Midwest farming practices is a plus🔳YOUR PROFILE ● Strong farmer mindset (“boots on the ground”)● Self-starter with entrepreneurial drive● Strong negotiation and relationship skills● Persistent, adaptable, and results-oriented● Passion for building something long-term This role is NOT a desk job.You must enjoy being in the field, with farmers, every day.🔳WORK LOCATION ● Based in Portland, Indiana (47431)● Daily field travel across the region🔳COMPENSATION Base Salary● $50,000 per yearSeed Sales Commission • 0 – 20,000 units: $0.10 per unit • 20,001 – 40,000 units: $0.20 per unit • 40,000+ units: $0.30 per unit Grain Procurement Commission • 0 – 184,000 bushels: No commission • 184,001 – 368,000 bushels: $0.03 per bushel • 368,000+ bushels: $0.06 per bushel🔳BENIFITS● 15 days PTO per year● Paid holidays (per company policy)● Business expense reimbursement (after initial period)🔳WHY JOIN IOM GRAIN?● Be part of a fast-growing soybean supply chain● Work directly with farmers in the Midwest● Build your own network and territory● High autonomy + strong earning potential● Entrepreneurial culture📩 Apply NowWe are looking for someone ready to build, grow, and commit long-term.
