Our team will enhance product workflow by analyzing and developing logistics plans that affect production, distribution, and inventory; create and review procedures for distribution and inventory management to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize cost; rely on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals; and provide support for the US Navy CHRIMP activities at Naval Base Sasebo.You will be part of a dynamic, focused team recognized by the Navy and the industry for their outstanding contributions to the contract and program.In This Role, You WillProvide general sustainment support to field activities.Support will include all aspects of material management/tracking support including the following: conducting physical inventories, conducting material research using US Navy/commercial systems and databases, and supporting container labeling initiatives.Have the ability to obtain and maintain a favorable background investigation.Have the ability to work with various personnel (military, civilian and contractor staff) to support of CHRIMP sustainment requirements.Have a familiarity with various Navy Logistics and HAZMAT concepts, practices, and procedures including experience with utilizing the Navy’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.Have the ability to use MS Office Suite and possess intermediate-level experience with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Provide support inventory, data collection, and processing of HAZMAT data for building into the Navy’s system of record.Have the ability to quickly analyze customer problems, identify possible courses of action, provide recommendations for customer consideration, and follow up with guidance or training as needed.Have a certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected.This position supports a U.S. Government contract whose terms require that applicants possess U.S. Citizenship.To Be Successful In This Role, You Will HaveAbility to get a NACIHigh School Diploma/ GED4 years of related experience.Experience in DoD and/or Commercial Logistics/Inventory Management, US Navy HAZMAT management or equivalent experience.Effective interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.Vaild US PassportAbility to travel 25%Additional Desired Experience And SkillsBachelors degreeIf you are interested in supporting and working with the Navy and a passionate Serco team- then submit your application now for immediate consideration.
