Data/Order Entry - Manufacturing Facility
Poly Works Inc, is a local Newburgh, Flexographic printing manufacturer with consistent history of positive growth. We are seeking a candidate to fill an immediate opening for Data/Order entry. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5-7 years experience preferably in a manufacturing or other similar industrial setting. This position is heavy in data entry.
Responsibilities will include, but are not be limited to
Receive a high volume of new and repeat orders, both from external customers as well as from within the company. Evaluate orders for accuracy with an attentive eye to a variety of key details to include; sizing, pricing, film color, print colors, dimensions, etc.
Work closely with various internal departments to evaluate and ensure that all necessary approvals are met to include; accounting for credit verification, sales, administration, shipping/receiving and management, to ensure that the product/order requested can be produced according to customer specifications.
Utilizing strong math skills, ensure that all quantities, pricing/costs, totals, dimensions and other product specifications are accurate and complete. Ensure all such details match associated supporting documents and contract agreements.
Respond continuously to both the customer and internal departments to convey and document all discrepancies, problems, corrections and confirmations in a timely manner.
Utilizing strong measurement skills; be able to read and evaluate product measurements precisely (dimensions of plastic packaging), both physically and on paper, to ensure that product details meet all customer and manufacturing specs.
Must be thorough, attentive to detail and well organized, able to identify and missing or inaccurate information.
Must be able to work independently, taking ownership of your role in a pro-active manner.
Must also be able to work cohesively and professional with administrative team members, internal departments as well as outside customers, at all times.
Must have strong computer skills; MicroSoft Word Suite/Excel/Outlook. Previous hands-on experience using manufacturing or similar proprietary software is a plus.
Knowledge of Shipping policies and procedures is desired, to include working with UPS, FedEx and USPS.
Prior knowledge of Flexographic or other printing or plastic packaging is a plus, but is not required.
Strong communication skills; written, verbal and phone skills. Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
Strong organizational skills and dedication to completing projects in a timely manner.
Hours: Mon - Fri, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. plus overtime as needed.
