Machine Operator II (Coiling)

DescriptionRace Winning Brands (RWB) is the leading manufacturer of racing and high-performance parts sold to automotive and powersports markets.We are seeking a Machine Operator to run coiling machines at our PAC Racing Springs facility in Southfield, Michigan. This position will train on first shift but may move to a second or third shift after training is complete.Key ResponsibilitiesRead and understand product prints, set-up procedures, and processing parameters.Select machine tooling such as coiling points, pitch tools, and feed-rolls to produce various types of springproducts.Select and load spring wire into machines with forklift; all wire is verified with micrometers & digital calipers.Produce and revise CNC program for optimum spring products, as needed.Produce trial parts from initial coiling setup to final operations to validate all processing steps prior to productionruns.Verify product dimensions and performance with various types of inspection equipment and measurement tools.Maintain, adjust, and control machine during production to maintain high level of SPC quality per the printtolerances.Strive to optimize production speeds and quality.Recommend and review products with engineers, technicians, and coworkers for continuous improvementopportunities.Repair minor equipment issues.Record data relative to the quality of the springs/parts being produced.Install guards to conform to safety standards, if necessary.Ensure Quality, Safety and Environmental System requirements are followed.What You Will GetEligible for Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance as of Day OneEmployer Paid Life and Disability InsuranceHSA with Employer Contributions401(K) Retirement Plan with Company MatchEmployee Wellness and Assistance ProgramsPaid Maternity/Paternity LeavePaid Time OffUp to 10 Paid Company HolidaysRequirementsHigh school diplomaPrior manufacturing experience with a minimum of six months of CNC machining experience Ability to use and read calipers and micrometersBasic computer skills including Microsoft ExcelAbility to use a forklift and maintain forklift license and certificationAbility to read and interpret operating and maintenance instructionsPhysical demands: this position requires standing for long periods of time, frequently lifting or moving up to 25 pounds and occasional lifting or moving of up to 50 pounds
