Overview
As Manufacturing Engineer at Hadrian, you will design and deploy highly automated work cells that scale with new manufacturing capabilities. You’ll connect design, production, and software teams to drive manufacturability and process improvements. You lead upgrades of autonomous systems and ensure high uptime and quality through data-driven optimization. This role sits at the heart of Hadrian’s mission to accelerate and lower the cost of critical defense and aerospace production. You will shape scalable, end-to-end manufacturing solutions for fast iteration and volume production.

ResponsibilitiesLead design and deployment of first-generation manufacturing systems and automation toolsCollaborate with design, production, supply chain, controls, software, and robotics to implement improvementsProvide early manufacturability feedback to design teams and support iterative product developmentApply DF M principles at the product level to improve ease of production and cost efficiencyDrive upgrades and autonomous systems to support reliable, rapid iterationAnalyze and troubleshoot equipment to optimize uptime and process efficiencyIdentify and deploy automation opportunities guided by ROI and technical evaluations
Key requirementsBachelor in Mechanical Engineering3-5+ years in manufacturing environments, especially systems engineering or automation deploymentProven collaboration with design engineers on early-stage product developmentStrong DFM expertise influencing design decisions for manufacturability and cost reductionExperience leading complex projects and cross-functional alignment in fast-paced settingsStrong quantitative and analytical problem-solving skillsExcellent communication, documentation, and team-building abilitiescross-functional collaborationhands-on, solution-oriented mindsetclear communication and documentationDesign for Manufacturability (DFM)automation deployment and systems integrationdata analysis using Excel and SQL
