HAIR STYLIST Services Are Only A Small Part Of Being A Hairstylist Hit your retail sales each week Knowledge of all products carried by the salon (i.e. shampoos, conditioners,  and treatments) An awareness of all services offered by the salon and their costsClient retention Be committed and dedicated to the hair styling profession Be a team player for the company Meet your personal and professional goals Requirements Be at work location 15 minutes before appointed starting hour Present a fashionable image in dress and hairstyle Be consistent with the salon’s service cycle Make clients as comfortable as possible. Offer a beverage, magazine and/or  styling books. Service clients in shampooing, rinsing and processing of chemical services,  cuts, and blow drying Perform a thorough consultation with every guest Keep stations clean by picking up towels, sweeping, etc. before each new client Responsibilities Greet customers  Up-servicing existing clients  Selling gift certificates Selling retail maintenance programs Customer service Selling promotions
