Their duties include developing a comprehensive curriculum and planning daily activities. They also interact with parents and other staff members to create a safe and fun learning environment for children.Ensure the health, safety and well-being of children in the program by providing close supervision of children during all activities.Promote exploration, creativity, and discovery and stimulate each child's individual development.Maintain a clean and safe classroom environment.Work cooperatively with other teachersPreparing materials and maintaining a clean and safe classroom environment.Ensure that all Bank Street College, New York City Department of Health/Bureau of Day Care, and New York City Department of Education, CACFP guidelines followedOther duties as assigned by DirectorQualifications:High School diploma or general equivalency diploma requiredBachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education preferredExperience working with preschool children in a child care setting and managing a classroom preferredWillingness to collaborate and work as part of a team, as well as develop skills in working with individual children, small groups, and the whole classStrong interpersonal skillsHours: 3:00-5:30 P.M. Monday-FridayPosition is part time: up to 14 hours per weekPay: $19.2/Hr
