Job Overview: Pay Range: $51hr - $56hrResponsibilities:Perform monthly General Ledger (GL) interface activities and ensure accurate posting of payroll-related data.Review payroll general ledger interfaces and payroll activities across multiple entities (US and Canada).Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies in payroll and accounting data in collaboration with payroll and HR teams.Prepare and review account reconciliations and perform issue resolution.Record monthly and quarterly journal entries for accruals including AP, T&E, bonuses, PTO, severance, relocation, and deferred compensation.Analyze payroll-to-GL flow including earnings, deductions, taxability, and financial impact.Ensure alignment between bank transactions and GL postings through timely follow-ups.Support internal and external audit requirements and provide necessary documentation.Prepare P&L and Balance Sheet analyses for month-end and quarter-end close activities.Conduct financial process flow analysis to validate controls, improve efficiency, and ensure transaction accuracy.Collaborate with HR, Finance, and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate payroll accounting and reporting.Maintain documentation, track issues, and participate in meetings to support financial operations.Stay current with payroll regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies.Contribute to process improvements and optimization of accounting workflows.Prepare financial reports in compliance with IFRS, GAAP, and other applicable standards.Analyze assets, liabilities, and tax obligations, and recommend improvements where applicable.Support financial reporting and annual closing activities.Provide guidance and functional support to team members and stakeholders. Required Qualifications:Bachelor s degree in Accounting.7+ years of relevant accounting experience.Strong expertise in payroll accounting including earnings codes, deductions, and tax implications.Solid understanding of core accounting principles including debits, credits, and ledger postings.Experience managing end-to-end payroll accounting flow (payroll cash GL financial impact).Hands-on experience with SAP.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office tools.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under pressure. Preferred Qualifications:CPA certification (preferred but not mandatory).Experience with Workday reporting.Familiarity with data tools such as KNIME, Microsoft Access, or similar.Experience supporting audits and working in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
