Job Title: Employee Relations Specialist (3–6-month contract)Location: Philadelphia, PAWorkplace: Hybrid 3-4x onsiteEmployee Relations SpecialistAbout the RoleThe Employee Relations Specialist plays a critical role in supporting a positive, equitable, and legally compliant workplace across assigned departments. This position supports a diverse workforce—including clinical, administrative, and union-represented employees—in a complex, 24/7 healthcare environment.Reporting within Human Resources, the Employee Relations Specialist serves as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees on employee relations matters, including performance management, conduct concerns, policy interpretation, and workplace investigations. This role partners closely with operational leadership to resolve employee concerns, ensure consistent application of policies, mitigate organizational risk, and promote fair and respectful employment practices.Key ResponsibilitiesAdvise managers and employees on employee relations matters, including performance management, conduct issues, workplace conflicts, and policy interpretationConduct prompt, thorough, objective, and well-documented workplace investigations, including allegations related to policy violations, misconduct, and employee complaintsAnalyze investigation findings and recommend appropriate corrective and/or disciplinary actions in alignment with organizational standards, collective bargaining agreements, and applicable employment lawsPrepare clear, concise investigation summaries, findings, and recommendations for HR leadership and operational partnersPartner with HR colleagues and operational leaders to proactively address employee relations trends and reduce riskSupport consistent and equitable application of policies and procedures across departmentsAssist leaders in handling sensitive employee issues while balancing employee experience, compliance, and business needsMaintain up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and ensure compliance in all employee relations activitiesContribute to a respectful, inclusive, and supportive workplace cultureQualificationsBachelor's Degree (Required)Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a related Human Resources role (Required)At least 2 years of hands-on experience conducting workplace investigations (Required)Experience supporting union-represented employees and working within a healthcare or similarly complex, regulated environment is strongly preferredStrong knowledge of employee relations principles, employment law, and HR best practicesDemonstrated ability to conduct fair, impartial, and legally sound investigationsExcellent judgment, discretion, and ability to handle sensitive and confidential informationStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly document findings and recommendationsAbility to build trust, influence without authority, and partner effectively with leaders at all levelsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, 24/7 environmentCommitment to promoting equity, consistency, and respectful workplace practicesProfessional in Human Resources (PHR) – PreferredSenior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) – PreferredJuno is an Equal Opportunity Employer that provides equal opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, national origin, disability, genetic predisposition or carrier status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law.
