Manager - Patient Financial Coordination - 40 Hours - Days

General SummaryThe Manager – Patient Financial Coordination for Henry Ford Health Cancer Service Line is responsible for the following:Provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for patient financial counseling services across the Cancer Service Line.Serves as the primary subject matter expert and key liaison across the financial and revenue cycle continuum, partnering with internal and external stakeholders, including insurance verification, central authorization, patient billing, financial assistance, clinical leadership, and pharmaceutical partners to ensure seamless, coordinated support for patients.Leads the development and execution of programs and resources that promote patients' financial health throughout the cancer care continuum.Oversee all aspects of team operations, including staffing, performance management, and human resource functions, while fostering a high-performing, patient-centered culture.Ensures the team effectively educates and supports patients in understanding out-of-pocket costs, optimizing insurance coverage, and accessing financial assistance programs.Drives performance excellence by establishing and monitoring key metrics related to quality, productivity, and workflow adherence.Champions staff development and continuous improvement initiatives, ensure timely resolution of patient and referral concerns, and advances strategies that enhance service delivery, integration, and growth across the Cancer Service Line and Henry Ford Health.Education/Experience RequiredBachelor's degree in business or healthcare.Experience RequiredThree (3) years of experience in financial navigation/counseling, medical billing or related healthcare field.Supervisory experience strongly preferred.Advanced understanding of medical insurance required.Strong working knowledge of the medical field landscape and terminology.
