Hotel Fractional Director of Finance - Part-Time RemoteJoin Strategic Solution Partners (SSP) as a part-time Fractional Director of Finance consultant within the SSP organization and play a critical role in maximizing the return on financial assets and revenue optimization. Their oversight of financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems will ensure the ongoing evolution of the financial support Team aligns with the evolving business requirements. This position reports directly to the COO of SSP. Job Summary:This role is an integral part of the SSP Advisory Board. The active partition in, and contribution to, the high-level strategy development, is key to the company’s long-term viability. On an ongoing basis, the contributions of this Role to strategy adjustments ensures timely course corrections maintaining the required financial stability.Additionally, this position ensures legal and regulatory compliance for all accounting and financial reporting functions. Management of the entire Finance Department within SSP. Financial Planning: Assisting the company in making long-term financial decisionsCost AccountingRisk Management: Managing risk and capitalEffectively manage and communicate cash flow related issuesAnalyze financial data and operations in order to assist and advise management in maintaining financial objectivesEstablish and continually audit all internal financial controlsMaintain compliance with Company standards and regulationsCoordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecastsSupport month-end and year-end close processAdvise on Tax Savings/implicationsAdvisory Board ParticipationStrategy Development participation for SSPSystems advice/participation in upgradesProject Mgmt. /DevelopmentProfessional Development Enterprise-wide process improvements and efficienciesBe a valuable resource for the company and its staffApproval of the finance teams biweekly invoices and requests for additional hoursHandle active job placements during times of transitions, absences, etc.​ Qualifications:10+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experienceProven working experience as a Financial DirectorLeadership/department-head level experience is necessary.Direct experience with all aspects of accounting and consultingAdvanced degree in Accounting, CPA or CMA preferred but not necessaryThorough knowledge of accounting principles and proceduresExperience with review and analytics of financial statements.Experience/excellent knowledge of financial reporting functions and the month-end/year end close process.Demonstration of systems/business acumen relative to scope of workCreative and innovative problem solverAbility to adapt quickly and perform under high expectations.
