Job Summary JOB DESCRIPTION Responsible for supporting Actuarial ManagementEssential FunctionsThe essential functions listed represent the major duties of this role, additional duties may be assigned. Support and analyze activities related to the Government Markets (ACA and Medicare) and Commercial Markets (Small/Mid/Large Group and ASO)Increase knowledge of actuarial science and insurance theory & practice, progressing to the FSA designation Rate analysis and development Forecast/variance analysis and reporting Claim trend analysisRequired QualificationsRelated Bachelor's degree required Math/Statistics or related degreeCompletion of one or more of the examinations from the Society of ActuariesPreferred QualificationsBackground in health field or insurance fieldPrevious Actuarial experience or internship in an Actuarial area SAS, R and/or SQL experienceMinimum GPA of 3.2Familiarity with programming languages PC software (spreadsheets, graphics, word processors)Completion of college-level courses on micro and macroeconomics, introductory corporate finance, and applied statistical methodsGeneral Physical DemandsSedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects.
