Position Summary The Electrical Project Manager is responsible for managing commercial and industrial electrical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This position is based in GEMCO’s Carmel, Indiana office and manages projects throughout the United States, with travel to project sites as needed. The Project Manager is responsible for the overall execution and financial performance of assigned projects while serving as the primary point of contact between customers, field leadership, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams. Primary Responsibilities Manage electrical construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout. Review project drawings, specifications, estimates, contracts, and scope documents. Develop project schedules, manpower plans, procurement strategies, and execution plans with field leadership. Manage project budgets, forecasting, billing, cash flow, labor productivity, and overall profitability. Monitor schedules, costs, manpower, materials, and project risks and implement corrective actions when needed. Manage change orders, contract modifications, claims, and scope adjustments. Coordinate purchasing of materials, equipment, and subcontracted services. Lead project meetings and maintain strong relationships with customers, owners, general contractors, and other stakeholders. Collaborate with superintendents and foremen to support field execution and workforce planning. Partner with estimating, engineering, purchasing, accounting, and operations throughout project execution. Ensure compliance with company safety, quality, and operational standards. Travel to project sites throughout the United States as required. Manage project closeout, including documentation, punch lists, and customer turnover. Qualifications Experience managing commercial or industrial electrical construction projects. Strong knowledge of electrical construction methods, systems, drawings, specifications, and industry standards. Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, forecasting, schedules, change orders, and profitability. Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Experience working closely with electrical field leadership and construction customers. Proficiency with construction management, scheduling, and project financial reporting tools preferred. Ability to travel nationally based on project needs.
