Central Region Renewable Energy Development Lead

In this role, you'll lead development workstreams while integrating land strategy, permitting pathways, technical inputs, and stakeholder dynamics to move projects from concept to execution readiness. You'll operate at the intersection of fieldwork and cross‐functional coordination, translating real‐world conditions, regulatory requirements, and community perspectives into actionable development plans. TOP is headquartered in Portland, Oregon.What You'll DoIdentify and evaluate renewable energy opportunities through land analysis, policy review, and fatal flaw screening; lead real estate strategy including land targeting, campaign design, leasing, and negotiation of complex agreements.Manage all real estate documentation with Legal, including title commitments, curatives, crossings, shared facilities agreements, mineral waivers, and related instruments; maintain active presence at project sites to build trust and gather contextual insight.Build and manage integrated development plans covering scope, schedule, budget, risks, and deliverables; coordinate permitting applications, public hearings, and regulatory processes.Oversee development budgets and forecasts and synthesize project progress, risks, and next steps for internal teams and leadership.Serve as primary contact for landowners, community members, and permitting authorities; maintain cloud‐based trackers and review technical materials for compliance with codes, standards, and project requirements.Manage external partners delivering environmental, engineering, and permitting services and review civil, electrical, and environmental documentation to uphold safety, ethics, and technical standards.Troubleshoot development hurdles and adapt strategies based on new data or stakeholder input; support structuring of land, permitting, and interconnection agreements including scopes of work, RFPs, and vendor evaluations.Monitor regulatory changes and permitting trends and define scopes and responsibilities for contributors while supporting a collaborative team culture.What You BringBachelor's degree in engineering, business, environmental science, or related field; advanced degree or PMP preferred.Three or more years of experience in renewable energy or infrastructure development with exposure to early‐stage milestones and execution‐stage coordination.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project planning tools and familiarity with spatial mapping tools such as Google Earth or GIS.Ability to coordinate across internal teams and engage external stakeholders in hybrid and field‐based settings; growing fluency in permitting, interconnection, and stakeholder engagement.Valid driver's license and willingness to travel up to 35%, including to project sites and quarterly meetings at TOP headquarters in Portland, Oregon.Authorization to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.ApplicationPlease apply via email to Jobs@tripleoakpower.com with a resume and a cover letter detailing relevant experience.
