Senior Accountant

Seeking a hands‑on finance/accounting professional to join our Tulsa office on a temp‑to‑hire (or interim) full‑time basis. The role is flexible in level (senior associate → controller‑type), with the priority being someone who can step in quickly and support day‑to‑day operations. Initially the position will be full time in office with the option for hybrid after the ramp‑up period. What the First 30–60 Days Look Like Support day‑to‑day accounting operations (AR, invoicing, job cost tracking) Assist with weekly payroll/job cost uploads and reporting Help with month‑end close (labor entries, job cost alignment, reconciliations) Maintain and update key tracking/reporting files (Excel‑heavy) Coordinate with operations, HR, and accounting to gather missing inputs and keep workflows moving What the Role Will Grow Into (Senior / Controller Scope) Own and improve the month‑end close process (timeliness, accuracy, fewer manual workarounds) Ensure clean financials and better visibility into job‑level performance Job Costing & Margin Visibility Drive accuracy in job costing and WIP tracking Partner with operations to improve cost‑to‑complete and margin reporting Process & Controls Standardize workflows across invoicing, payroll allocations, and reporting Implement better controls and reduce reliance on manual processes Cash Flow & Working Capital Improve visibility into cash flow (AR collections, billing timing, cost flow) Support more proactive decision‑making around spend and liquidity Systems & Infrastructure Optimize use of Sage 100, UKG, and reporting tools Help transition from fragmented spreadsheets to more scalable systems Team & Cross‑Functional Leadership Act as a key partner to operations, HR, and leadership Potentially oversee junior accounting resources (AP/AR) as the team evolves What We’re Looking For Strong accounting/finance foundation (3–8+ years, flexible) Comfortable in hands‑on, Excel‑heavy environments, ability to use accounting/ERP platforms ( SAGE 100 preferred ) Able to operate in ambiguity and bring structure over time Experience with job costing / project‑based work is a plus Someone who can jump in quickly and add value #J-18808-Ljbffr
