Radiology - Ultrasound / Sonographer

Ultrasound Technologist This is a 13-week contract position. 4 ten-hour shifts, Monday and Tuesday 12 PM - 10:30 PM, Thursday and Friday 7 AM - 5:30 PM, rotating on call. The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for producing two-dimensional ultrasonic recordings of internal organs using ultrasound equipment. This role supports physicians in diagnosing diseases and studying organ dysfunction. Responsibilities: Select and set up ultrasound equipment according to examination specifications. Explain the ultrasonic examination process to patients and assist them in positioning. Adjust equipment controls and transducers based on the area to be examined. Key test data and patient information into the computer to maintain accurate records. Operate equipment to produce images and record diagnostic data on a computer system or film. Review physician orders for accuracy before commencing examinations. Ensure all ultrasound images meet pre-determined quality and measurement criteria. Document patient information and coordinate daily schedules effectively. Maintain a safe environment for patients, ensuring accessibility to assistive devices and safety from hazards. Communicate effectively with patients, especially the elderly, regarding instructions and care. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure: Graduation from an accredited school of Ultrasound Technology or Radiology Technology. Previous experience in ultrasound procedures is preferred. American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) registration in Ultrasound Technology is required. AHA BLS certification required within 6 months of hire. Why ARMStaffing?
