This role is covering for a leave of absence.Director of International Strategy Los Angeles, CA Pay: $110.00 - $130.00 per hour Job SummaryThe Director, International Strategy supports international business operations across regions and business lines, partnering closely with senior leadership on strategic initiatives, market analysis, business development, and executive reporting. This role operates within a global distribution and content strategy organization and functions as an individual contributor covering a leave assignment. The Director plays a critical role in developing strategic recommendations, supporting corporate planning cycles, and enabling international growth initiatives in collaboration with multiple corporate and business stakeholders.Job ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end strategic projects, including scoping, structuring, analysis, and executive-level recommendations.Respond to ad hoc requests from corporate functions with timely, structured analysis and executive-ready deliverables.Conduct international market and competitive analysis and translate insights into actionable strategic recommendations.Support business development initiatives, including commercial partnerships and new market opportunities.Develop business cases and commercial frameworks for strategic initiatives.Partner with corporate development teams on M&A, joint ventures, and partnership opportunities.Conduct stakeholder mapping and cross-functional alignment analysis for key initiatives.Prepare executive and board-level reporting on international performance and strategic priorities.Support financial planning cycles, including long-range planning, annual budgeting, and investment planning.Contribute to corporate transformation initiatives impacting international operations.Develop briefing materials, presentations, and talking points for senior leadership.Collaborate with cross-functional teams across corporate strategy, finance, distribution, and content divisions.Job RequirementsMinimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in strategy, consulting, or corporate strategy roles.Background in top-tier management consulting or in-house corporate strategy at a large organization.Direct experience in media, entertainment, streaming, or adjacent industries.Proven ability to independently lead strategy projects from problem definition through recommendation.Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, including advanced Excel proficiency.Advanced PowerPoint skills with ability to create executive-quality presentations.Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to senior leadership.Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Experience with corporate development activities such as M&A or joint ventures preferred.Exposure to international markets and global business operations preferred.Prior experience supporting senior executives (SVP, EVP, or C-suite) preferred.MBA from a leading program preferred.EducationBachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.Work ExperienceMinimum 5 years of relevant experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, or equivalent roles.Experience in media, entertainment, or streaming industries strongly preferred.
