Job SummaryPerforms food service tasks and other related duties in accordance with healthcare standards. Provides excellent customer service while serving guests. Under direct supervision, learns to perform a variety of food service functions, including patient tray line, floor care, cart wash, trash, grease, garbage removal, manual ware wash, and dish machine operation in accordance with healthcare sanitation regulations. QualificationsEducation Required High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent Experience: Required for ALLCompletion of on the job training in Food Service Able to perform a variety of food service functions including patient tray line, floor care, cart wash, trash, grease, garbage removal, manual ware wash, and dish machine operation in accordance with healthcare sanitation regulation. Required for Food Specialist II & IIIAbility to teach and train hires in designated area Required for Food Service Specialist IIIHostess/Catering duties. Assists other members of Food & Nutrition services in patient meal tray service an related activities. Certification/Licensure: Required Food Service Specialist ITexas Food Handler's Certification Must obtain within thirty (30) days of start date Food Service Specialist II & IIITexas Food Manager Certification Must obtain within ninety (90) days of start date
