Manager, DevOps

Aware is a global leading provider of biometrics software products, solutions, and services to empower users to own and control their identity while ensuring security and maximizing convenience. We are seeking an experienced Manager of DevOps to lead and scale our DevOps function. This role is responsible for driving the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms, and operational reliability. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with people leadership and cross-functional collaboration.Job ResponsibilitiesLead, mentor, and grow a team of DevOps engineersDefine and execute the DevOps roadmap aligned with engineering and business goalsPromote DevOps best practices, automation, and a culture of reliability and ownershipPartner with Engineering, Security, and Product teams to support delivery and scalabilityOversee cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure-as-code practicesEnsure systems are scalable, secure, highly available, and cost-effectiveManage environments across development, staging, and productionOwn CI/CD pipelines to ensure fast, reliable, and repeatable deploymentsDrive automation across build, test, deployment, and monitoring workflowsImprove developer experience and deployment velocityEstablish SRE-style practices including SLAs, SLOs, and error budgetsEnsure robust monitoring, alerting, logging, and incident response processesPartner with Security to implement DevSecOps practices and compliance requirementsLead incident response, root cause analysis, and postmortemsManage on-call rotations and operational readinessContinuously improve system performance, uptime, and resiliencyNote: In addition to the Job Responsibilities, the candidate also performs similar work-related duties as assigned.Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor’s Degree10+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering2+ years of people management or technical leadership experienceStrong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI)Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation)Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)Strong understanding of Linux systems and networking fundamentalsExcellent communication and management skillsSalary Range is $130,000 - $165,000 and will be dependent on experience.We evaluate qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran status, and other protected characteristics.
