Material Handler

Job Summary
Material Handlers support receiving, distributing, storing, and maintaining inventory in a fast-paced, organized, quality- and safety-focused environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to work independently and collaboratively, and comfortable managing multiple priorities. This role may rotate into different areas and may provide direction or prioritize the work of other Material Handlers.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
* Follow all environmental, health, safety, quality, and departmental procedures.
* Maintain a proactive safety mindset and support a zero-harm workplace.
* Follow Quality Management System requirements and complete required documentation.
* Control and maintain the flow of materials through the storeroom, production, and distribution areas.
* Receive and process incoming materials according to established procedures.
* Perform cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy.
* Work with customer service, supply chain, receiving, inspection, and quality teams to resolve material-related issues.
* Prepare customer orders for shipment as needed.
* Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment, including pallet jacks and walkie stackers.
* Work independently and collaboratively to achieve operational goals.
* Train employees and coordinate daily activities of other Material Handlers as needed.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
* High School Diploma or equivalent required.
* 2–3 years of related material handling, warehouse, inventory, or manufacturing experience required.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to follow detailed work instructions and procedures.
* Proficient computer skills with the ability to enter data and navigate multiple applications.
* Experience using Electronic Inventory Management Systems, including *MRP and/or ERP systems*.
* Comfortable operating or being trained to operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
* Previous forklift experience strongly preferred.
* Ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses.
* Ability to sit and stand for extended periods and frequently walk, stoop, reach, climb, and perform overhead reaching.
* Ability to lift up to *18 lbs routinely* and up to *66 lbs occasionally*.
* Ability to work overtime as needed.
