Department: Retail OperationsWork Location: 72nd and FEmployment Status: Full-TimePay range: $25.00Job SummaryThe CDL Driver will transport material to and from Goodwill locations using trucks, tractors, and trailers in a safe and efficient manner.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesTransport loads to and from designated locations in a timely fashionOccasionally load and unload trucks and trailers at assigned locationsEnsure trucks and trailers are kept clean and safe at all timesMaintain records, logs and inspection reportsDrive with courtesy to others and positively represent Goodwill to the publicSafely and efficiently operate Forklift as requiredResponsible for supervising dock workers when they accompany driver on routeComplies with all State and Department of Transportation guidelines and Goodwill policies & proceduresMeet or exceed the attendance expectations for this positionActively maintain a safe, healthy, and positive environment that promotes the physical and emotional well-being of employees, customers, and participants Other duties as assignedIndividual Development & Interpersonal SkillsPersonally participate in ongoing professional growth, education and development as well as supporting others in their efforts to develop.Maintains good working relationship with supervisor, co-workers and trainees.Must be able to communicate with the public.Works with other employees as part of a team, and must communicate effectively.ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENTEducate customers and the community about the mission and vision of the organization.Demonstrate the Goodwill core values through actions and words.Qualification RequirementsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Education And/Or ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED preferredSix (6) months experience driving a tractor trailer preferredClass A Commercial Driver’s License requiredMust be insurableCERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSMust pass drug and alcohol testing and comply with DOT regulationsForklift certificationKnowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesMust have knowledge of metropolitan area streets and locationsMaintain a good driving record that meets our Insurance Company’s GuidelinesPHYSICAL DEMANDS HeavyLifting 100 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds.WORK ENVIRONMENTHighFrequently exposed to extreme atmospheric conditions (temperature, noise fumes, dust, etc.)
