Deburring TechnicianDepartment: Manufacturing | Type: Full-Time, Onsite | Experience: Entry-Level / Prior Experience a Plus Position SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented Deburring Technician to join our precision gear manufacturing team. In this role, you will remove burrs, sharp edges, and excess material from machined gear components to ensure parts meet our quality, safety, and dimensional standards. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, has steady hands and a keen eye for detail, and thrives in a hands-on production environment.Key ResponsibilitiesRemove burrs, sharp edges, and imperfections from machined gears and components using hand tools, power tools, and specialized deburring equipmentInspect parts visually and with measuring tools to verify compliance with specifications and tolerancesRead and follow blueprints, work instructions, and quality standardsUse tools such as grinders, files, abrasive stones, sanders, and rotary tools to achieve proper surface finishMaintain part integrity during deburring to avoid altering critical dimensions or gear tooth profilesPerform basic polishing and surface finishing as requiredIdentify and report defects or non-conforming parts to supervisors or quality personnelMaintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety and 5S standardsHandle parts carefully to prevent damage during processing and transportAssist with other shop tasks as needed, including washing parts, packaging, or light assembly QualificationsRequired:High school diploma or GED preferredAbility to read basic blueprints and follow work instructionsFamiliarity with hand and power toolsGood hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and attention to detailAbility to work in a fast-paced production environment and follow instructions consistentlyAbility to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbsGood vision (with or without correction) for close inspection work Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):Prior experience in manufacturing, machining, or deburringExperience working with precision gears or tight-tolerance componentsBasic understanding of machining processes (milling, turning, grinding)Familiarity with quality systems (ISO, AS9100, etc.) Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive hourly pay based on experienceOvertime opportunities availableHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off and holidaysRetirement plan (401(k) with company match)On-the-job training and advancement opportunities Work EnvironmentThis position is based in a manufacturing/shop setting.
