Controls Engineer

Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Controls Engineer with a strong background in Building Automation Systems to join a growing team. This is a hands-on position that covers system design, programming, and project coordination, supporting a wide range of commercial and industrial environments.Key ResponsibilitiesSystem Design and EngineeringDesign BAS solutions aligned with project requirementsDevelop control drawings, system architecture, and sequences of operationCreate points lists and equipment schedulesReview mechanical and electrical documentation to ensure accurate system integrationSelect appropriate field devices, controllers, and network componentsProgramming and System DevelopmentProgram controllers and develop system logic, graphics, alarms, and user interfacesUtilize Niagara N4 for system configuration and integrationConfigure communication protocols including BACnet IP and ModbusProject Support and CoordinationCollaborate with project managers, contractors, and end users throughout the project lifecycleMaintain organized documentation and version control for all system filesSupport system turnover activities, including client trainingRequired QualificationsMinimum of five years of experience in BAS or HVAC controls engineeringExperience with DDC, PLC, or ladder logic programmingFamiliarity with Niagara N4 environmentsStrong understanding of HVAC systems such as VAV, AHU, chillers, boilers, and VRF systemsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and specificationsWorking knowledge of BACnet and Modbus communication protocolsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsExperience with design and documentation tools such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or VisioPreferred QualificationsNiagara certification or equivalent BAS certificationsUnderstanding of network infrastructure including IP addressing, switches, and VLANsFamiliarity with energy optimization strategies and industry standards such as ASHRAEExperience integrating third-party systems into BAS environmentsBenefits100% of the medical insurance for the employee and their families paid (low deductible PPO)401k program with 4% company match7 paid holidays2 weeks of vacation from the startCompany take-home vehicleGas cardCompany phone and laptop  Email Your Resume In Word ToJasmine.Hill@CyberCoders.comLooking forward to receiving your resume through our website and going over the position with you.
