Licensed Therapist Compliance Partner (OT, PT, SLP)About the OpportunityEnsign Services, Inc.'s (ESI) Compliance Department is seeking a Therapy Billing Compliance Partner. Must be an Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist or Speech Therapist with at least five years' experience in the skilled nursing environment. Primary responsibilities will involve performing compliance audits, conducting internal investigations under direction of associate and chief compliance officer, reviewing and analyzing medical records and/or claims to detect possible compliance or quality issues. Duties:Performs Medicare claim review portion of internal compliance auditsConducts internal investigations involving compliance issuesTrack corrective action plans related to any adverse findingsFacilitate other required compliance activitiesTravel required 70% of the time within California and surrounding areas/states Experience/Qualifications:Occupational, Physical or Speech Language Pathologist Therapy LicenseA minimum of five years' SNF experienceExpertise in MDS/PDPM coding rules and regulationsUnderstanding of the legal and regulatory framework governing the skilled nursing industryAbility to work with all levels of management on potentially complex compliance/regulatory issues Desired Skills:Superior interpersonal communication skillsStrong writing skills required to write compliance reports, and other communicationsWorks well independently in a home office environment on long term projects and as a member of an interdisciplinary teamAn engaging and informative teacher for regular training of facility personnel regarding Medicare requirementsPossesses and conveys high degree of credibility and integrityA desire to constantly improve Medicare management systems and organizational complianceUnderstands and accepts the unpredictable nature and needs of the compliance function in a large organizationExhibits analytical skills and an understanding of operational processesBasic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office/Excel Additional Information:Salary: $100,000 to $115,000Number of Positions Available: 1Position Type: Full Time, EmployeeBenefits: Medical, dental, vision, life & AD&D Insurance Plans, 401(k) with matching contribution, vacation, sick and holiday paySchedule: Typical business hours but may vary depending on workload and travel needs - 40 hrs/weekLocation: Field Resource and regularly travels to assigned facilities; must reside near a major airport in one of the following areas: Sacramento, Modesto, Santa Rosa, DavisPre-employment criminal background screening required.
