The High-Bay Freezer (HBF) Lift Truck Operator safely maintains an orderly and efficient cold storage warehouse.There are two plant facilities that make up the Moses Lake Production Campus. The selected candidate for this role will begin their training at one of these facilities and then will be assigned to one of the two locations after training is complete.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate a forklift to move totes from production line to the warehouseAbility to load, unload, high stack and stage totes of frozenEnters data and product locations accurately using a hand scannerRead daily order sheets and find appropriate product in the warehouseLoads and unloads trailers on the dockPerforms a pre-operation maintenance check on the forklift and reports any operating issuesCharges forklift batteriesPerforms other duties as assignedAbility to balance multiple tasks, be flexible, and work well under pressure.Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision and exercise good judgment.Ability to safely operate a forklift to load and unload trucks, and high stacking totes of product.Typical EducationHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED)Relevant Experience1+ years related experience and/or trainingOther InformationRequired CertificationsMust obtain and maintain a Forklift CertificationPosition may require employee to obtain and maintain annual Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) certification for entry into low oxygen freezer environment, which involves wearing a tight-fitting mask.Position may require employee to obtain and maintain annual Authorized Fall Protection CertificationPosition may require employee to obtain and maintain First Aid and CPR CertificationPhysical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
