Senior Phlebotomist

Job Description:Requirement/Must Have:High school diploma or equivalent.Minimum of six months of phlebotomy experience.Strong phlebotomy skills including pediatric and geriatric collections.Ability to perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Strong keyboard and data entry skills.Ability to maintain accuracy and quality in a fast-paced environment.Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call as required.Experience:At least six months of phlebotomy experience required.One plus years of phlebotomy experience preferred.Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.Experience in maintaining records and documentation accurately.Responsibilities:Collect blood specimens following established procedures and safety protocols.Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing.Explain procedures to patients and ensure comfort, trust, and confidence.Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties.Maintain accurate records and required documentation.Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.Complete daily activities accurately and within required timeframes.Should Have:Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.Phlebotomy certification preferred.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Commitment to organizational values and process excellence.Skills:Venipuncture and specimen collection.Pediatric and geriatric phlebotomy techniques.Specimen handling and processing.Data entry and documentation accuracy.Customer service and patient interaction.Time management and organization.Qualification and Education:Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.Phlebotomy certification preferred.
