Job Title:Non OSU Student AssistantDepartment:Veterinary Medicine | Veterinary Biosciences-JMThe student assistant will be developing new lung models for Cystic Fibrosis research project. They will help develop PCLS (Precision Cut Lung Slices) model and lung explants that will be obtained from mice and human discarded lungs. They will also be involved with assays to determine the viability of the cells (LDH assay) and identify the cell types (immunofluorescence, flow cytometry, and PCR).Additional InformationMinimum Qualifications: Student assistant with some lab experience including cell culture.Desired QualificationsStudent assistant with lab experience including PCR techniques, cell culture, and knowledge about the Cystic Fibrosis field.Location:Goss Laboratory (0180)Position Type:Temporary (Fixed Term)Scheduled Hours:38Shift:First ShiftFinal candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check.
