Sales Representative - Security Systems

Location: Tallahassee, FL Job Type: Full-time Salary: Base salary plus commission (Total expected earnings: $40,000 - $70,000 per year) Benefits: Competitive pay structure Health insurance Paid vacation and holidays 401(k) plan Training and development opportunities Position Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Sales Representative to generate sales of home and commercial security system packages. This role requires proactive lead generation through networking and participation in business groups. The Sales Representative must be able to learn and educate themselves on evolving technologies in homes and businesses. Duties and Responsibilities: Prospect for new customers and establish relationships with existing ones. Generate leads through networking, referrals, and participation in groups like BNI or Chambers of Commerce. Set appointments for sales calls both on-site and in our showroom. Inspect premises to design system requirements based on customer needs. Prepare and submit job proposals using established guidelines. Follow up with customers and close sales. Monitor job progress and demonstrate system operations during final walkthroughs. Meet and exceed monthly and annual sales quotas. Handle customer service issues by notifying appropriate channels. Provide daily activity reports to the Sales Manager. Stay updated on industry trends and new technologies. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Sales, or related field preferred; or minimum of 2 years of sales experience. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to pass a background check and drug test. Reliable transportation. Ability to work full-time with availability for local travel, nights, and weekends. Professional appearance and conduct. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Self-motivated and goal-oriented.
