Senior Director, Software Engineering

Job Details We are seeking an innovative and experienced engineering leader to join the Software team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading software engineering projects that make silicon come to life. Our software work spans from bringing new platforms to market to building developer tools that help developers get the most from those platforms. Key Responsibilities Change Agent: Challenge existing assumptions around all areas of engineering, how work is structured, which projects we build and why, etc. Aligns the organization around impactful goals and aspirations. Cross-team collaboration: Partners with product and engineering organizations to interpret product definitions and requests, focusing on the highest value work for the organization and our customers. Engineering discipline: Create consistent, efficient, user‑loved products by balancing technical excellence with deep understanding of business needs, user experience, and iterative processes to deliver significant impact. Mentorship and development: Excellent leadership skills in talent development, performance management, and fostering a collaborative, high‑impact work environment. Mentor engineers and architects, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. 15 years of experience including 10 years leading software engineering teams. 5 years of experience in AI, machine learning, next‑generation technology development, and systems engineering. Extensive experience leading engineering teams, setting strategic goals, driving execution, and delivering measurable outcomes. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with compiler and library engineering, system profiling, debugger engineering, and workload analysis.
