Job Summary Schaefer Plastics North America, LLC is seeking a Machine Attendant for our Lodi, CA manufacturing plant. The Machine Attendant is responsible for trimming flash, removing sprue, hot stamping, assembling, inspecting, and documenting a variety of plastic products, including tubs, totes, and waste containers. This role supports production quality, safety, and efficiency by monitoring parts during the production process and maintaining a clean, organized workstation. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesTrim flash from molded plastic parts.Remove sprue from finished products.Hot stamp, imprint, and/or assemble products according to order specifications.Monitor the production process and notify the supervisor of any non-conforming products or process concerns.Make adjustments in the Plantstar system to account for rejects, as needed.Inspect parts and document results on the In-Process Inspection Log every 30 minutes.Complete required production, quality, and product control documentation as instructed.Assist with first-piece inspections.Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly workstation through regular housekeeping.Assist with training new employees, as needed.Follow all company safety rules, quality standards, and work instructions.Perform other duties as assigned. Education and ExperienceThree months of previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.Prior injection molding experience helpful, but not required. Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAbility to pay close attention to detail.Ability to maintain a work pace consistent with machine cycle times.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.Ability to identify quality issues and communicate concerns to a supervisor.Ability to complete basic production and inspection documentation accurately.Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Physical Requirements and Work Environment Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, moving mechanical parts, production equipment, and varying temperatures. The employee must be able to:Stand and walk for extended periods of time.Use hands to finger, handle, feel, grip, and operate tools or equipment.Reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, talk, hear, and see.Push, pull, lift, carry, or otherwise move up to 50 lbs. occasionally and up to 25 lbs. frequently.Roll or move wheeled products weighing up to 400 lbs.Work at a pace consistent with production and machine cycle requirements.
