Deli Manager

Cub Uptown is looking for a Deli Manager. As Deli Manager, you will provide direct, prompt, efficient and friendly customer service. Primary emphasis in this position is on meeting daily needs in preparing, stocking and displaying product in order to ensure maximum department sales, product availability and provide high level of customer service. Handles food in a safe manner and ensures the work area is always clean and neat. We provide paid training, opportunities for growth, 401K match and generous Paid Time Off to name few. Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities: · Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions and treating customers as the most important people in the store. · Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner, whether the encounter takes place in the employee’s designated department or elsewhere in the store. · Reviews orders for the day and processes accordingly. · Reviews the status and appearance of the food for freshness. · Anticipates product needs for the department on a daily basis. · Prepares, finishes, and replenishes product as necessary. Job Requirements: · Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., carrying up to 50 lbs., pushing/pulling up to 20 pound’s, equipment operation (shrink wrap, label machine, slicer, knives), turning, bending, repetitive motions (twisting and clipping bags, labeling, wrapping, shrink wrapped items), reaching, standing. · Leadership experience in fresh department is a plus · Must be able to work shifts varying in length and times, including nights, weekends and holidays.
