Senior Mobile Asset Specialist

Job Description: Senior Mobile Asset Specialist We are looking for a Senior Mobile Asset Specialist to centralize and transform the County’s mobile device ecosystem. This role is responsible for the end-to-end "cradle-to-grave" management of our iPhone and iPad fleet. You will move us to a standardized, ServiceNow-driven model that integrates procurement, discovery, and automated lifecycle management while optimizing carrier spend. Core Responsibilities Centralized Procurement & Strategy: Establish a unified ordering portal and process for all mobile hardware, ensuring rigid adherence to County standards and budget authorizations. Policy & Governance: Draft and enforce comprehensive Mobile Device Policies, including "Acceptable Use," upgrade cycles, and lost/stolen recovery procedures. ServiceNow Automation: Design and implement automated request workflows and "Joiner/Mover/Leaver" (JML) processes within ServiceNow to trigger device provisioning and recovery. Discovery & Data Integrity: Integrate mobile device management (MDM) data into the ServiceNow CMDB and Asset Registry to ensure 100% visibility of active, spare, and retired assets. Plan & Spend Optimization: Perform monthly audits of carrier billing to identify "zero-usage" lines, optimize data plans, and manage vendor relationships to reduce TCO (Total Cost of Ownership). Performance Metrics: Build dashboards to track KPIs such as Asset Utilization, Turnaround Time (TAT), and Monthly Cost per User. Organizational Adoption: Lead the change management effort to shift departments toward the centralized model through training and clear stakeholder communication. Required Qualifications Experience: 5+ years of experience managing large-scale mobile deployments (2,500+ devices), ideally within a government or highly regulated environment. ServiceNow Expertise: Proven experience using ServiceNow for asset tracking and request fulfillment; familiarity with ServiceNow HAM Pro is a plus. Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of Apple Business Manager (ABM) and MDM integration (e.g., Intune, or Jamf) with the CMDB. Vendor Management: Experience managing major wireless carriers (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile). Credentials: ITIL v4 Foundations required; IAITAM (CHAMP) or mobile-specific certifications preferred. Location: Hybrid to facilitate onsite culture-building and hardware auditing, with a significant remote component.
