On-Call Lead CaregiverThe On-Call Lead Caregiver serves as a senior caregiver who supports and leads the caregiving team while remaining available to fill open or emergency shifts as needed. This role combines hands-on client care with leadership responsibilities, ensuring continuity of care, staff support, and high service standards at all times.Key ResponsibilitiesCaregiver Coverage & On-Call SupportRemain on-call during assigned hours to cover call-offs, last-minute schedule changes, and emergency shiftsStep in to provide direct care when coverage is needed, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as requiredEnsure smooth shift transitions and continuity of care for clientsLeadership & Team SupportServe as a lead point of contact for caregivers during shiftsProvide guidance, direction, and support to caregivers in the fieldModel professional behavior, strong work ethic, and compassionate careAssist with onboarding, shadowing, and mentoring new caregiversClient Care & Quality AssuranceDeliver high-quality personal care services in accordance with care plansMonitor care quality and report concerns or changes in client condition to managementAddress caregiver or client issues in real time and escalate when necessaryCommunication & DocumentationCommunicate clearly with scheduling staff, supervisors, and caregiversDocument shift coverage, incidents, and client updates accurately and timelyMaintain confidentiality and comply with all company policies and state regulationsQualificationsMinimum of 2 years experience as a professional caregiver (home care preferred)Reliable transportation and ability to travel between client locationsStrong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skillsFlexible availability and willingness to work on short noticeCPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)Ability to pass background check and meet state licensing requirementsPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift, transfer, and assist clients as requiredAbility to stand, walk, and perform caregiving duties for extended periodsSchedule & AvailabilityOn-call status during assigned days/hoursMust be available to cover shifts as needed, including weekends and holidaysCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive hourly rate (higher than standard caregiver rate)On-call stipend or bonus (if applicable)Opportunities for advancement and leadership growthCompensation: $16.00 - $19.00 per hourSince 2004, Executive Home Care has been a critical resource for families looking for in-home care for their loved ones.Executive Home Care provides outstanding training and benefits for the caregivers we place.
