Landscape Account Manager
Job Summary
The Account Manager is an experienced professional self-directing the activities to achieve service goals of their clients. The Account Manager is the primary point of contact for an assigned book of business responsible for overall site quality, achieving sales goals and achieving renewal goals. Accountable for managing up to $1.5 million in customer contract/work order work, achieving budgeted up sale goals for enhancements, and achieving budgeted contract renewals, and overall client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
o Establish and maintain a client relationship.
o Be the primary point of contact for customer calls, complaints, and other service needs.
o Manage site quality through site walk-throughs and analysis with the client.
o Maintain and communicate site issues list and monitor the resolution.
o Establish, communicate, and maintain site budgets outlining annual client spending for contract, enhancement, and Irrigation work.
o Be proactive to identify and to sell potential up sale opportunities to enhance or resolve problems on client sites. This includes but is not limited to issues of color, drainage, irrigation, tree removal, mulch, landscape redesign, etc., in order to enhance the property value for the client.
o Design and estimate work orders and deliver for approval by the client.
o Work with operations manager and field supervisors on communicating schedules for the delivery of work orders.
o Work with operations as required to properly manage enhancement work.
o Conduct ongoing customer review meetings to ensure customer satisfaction.
o Initiate and conclude renewals for grounds maintenance contracts.
o Responsible for reviewing customer accounts for proper billing and invoicing.
o Responsible for working with administrative department to resolve any billing issues.
o Report all write-offs and significant problems with customers.
o Meet with clients to ensure expectations are being met and recommend enhancement opportunities.
o Assist with collections for past-due customers in zone.
o Perform all required administrative paperwork timely, accurately, and legibly.
o Maintain a professional appearance by wearing proper uniform.
o Arrive to work at scheduled time.
o Support mission, goals, and strategies of Landmark Landscapes
o Assist with other duties as needed.
Required Education and Experience
o This position prefers a two-year or four-year degree in landscape horticulture, or a related field, plus a minimum of two to four years of experience as a sales manager or manager in Landscape maintenance or a related field.
o Must have demonstrated background in sales and service management with a strong emphasis on communication, sales, and relationship skills.
o Knowledge of standard landscape horticultural practices is required along with a basic understanding of hardscape and irrigation concepts.
o The candidate must be proficient in the use of computers and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office specifically Outlook, Word and Excel.
o Candidate must be fluent in English.
o Basic Spanish, preferred.
o The candidate must have excellent organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.
o Have not been convicted of a felony and is not a registered sex offender.
o Be able to pass an initial drug test and any future tests.
o Valid State Drivers License; Must maintain a driving record that is insurable by the company’s agent.
o Certified Landscape Professional, preferred.
o Certified Commercial Applicator, preferred.
o Ornamental and Turf Pest Control, preferred.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.
