Brings extensive experience in district- and building-level administration to prepare aspiring principals and superintendents for licensure. Engages students through case studies, applied projects, and leadership simulations; provides academic advising and mentoring; and collaborates with program faculty to align curriculum with state licensure standards. Contributes to a positive learning environment that supports the multi-faceted needs of adult learners preparing for educational leadership roles.Position InformationWork Schedule: Typically, Monday through Friday. YSU's culture of enrichment flourishes in our intellectually diverse, accessible, and quality education.Qualifications and CompetenciesRequired Certifications, Training, and/or Licensures: Ohio professional administrative licensure (Superintendent and Principal); and must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.Minimum Qualifications: Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership, Education Administration, or closely related field; PK-12 administrative experience at both building and district levels (e.g., principal, assistant superintendent, superintendent); knowledge of Ohio school finance and experience with financial management; current Ohio professional administrative licensure (Superintendent, Principal); demonstrated knowledge of school improvement planning, curriculum development, educator evaluation, and instructional leadership; and must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.Preferred Qualifications: Experience teaching or mentoring graduate students in educational leadership or administration. Expertise in hybrid, online, and face-to-face instructional delivery models. Experience developing and facilitating professional development for educators. Ability to integrate real-world leadership scenarios into instruction. Familiarity with Ohio licensure requirements for PK-12 administrators. Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. Experience guiding teams through curriculum development, educator evaluation, and community engagement.
