Perform frequent changeovers for small quantity custom orders. Maximize production efficiencies through simultaneous operation of more than one machine.Responsibilities:Receive and review work assignments; verify that work pieces and routing match regarding count, type, and proper sequenceFollow established procedures for machine setting up, including: select proper grind wheels, bushings, collets, and programs to be used; input tool and set up values; grind first piece, inspect, adjust as needed, and obtain approval from lead worker or supervisor when process has been completedSet up and operate multiple machines as neededEnter all production information into the data collection systemMonitor equipment performance; report problems and request required maintenance to avoid unnecessary downtime and machine damage or repairsPerform all other duties as assignedResponsible for keeping the area clean at all timesQualifications and Requirements:3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferredOne year of direct machine setup and operation experience. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note that hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
