Hi, Folks,Hope you're doing well,Job Title: Mainframe Operator / Level 1 Incident ManagerLocation: OAKLAND COUNTY, Michigan – OnsiteDuration: Minimum 6 MonthsStart Date: 05/04/2026Experience Required: 8+ YearsNo. of Positions: 1Job Overview:We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Operator who will also function as a Level 1 Incident Manager, responsible for monitoring critical IT systems, managing incidents, and ensuring seamless infrastructure operations.Key Responsibilities:Monitor and manage IBM mainframe systems via control consolesAct as the first point of contact for incident management, including:Incident creationTriage and prioritizationEscalation and trackingUtilize monitoring tools such as WhatsUp Gold, Pingdom, and PRTG Network Monitor to track system performance and availabilityCollaborate with internal teams, clients, and vendors using Microsoft TeamsPerform routine system checks and ensure infrastructure connectivityAssist in reviewing and validating Job Control Language (JCL) scriptsSupport operational deliveries and physical tasks (lifting up to 50 lbs)Required Skills & Qualifications:Minimum 5 years of experience in mainframe operations and incident managementStrong knowledge of IBM Mainframe environmentsHands-on experience with monitoring tools (WhatsUp Gold, Pingdom, PRTG)Proficiency in Microsoft TeamsBasic understanding of JCL (Job Control Language)Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
