Position TitleRN Clinical Supervisor – Cardiac Surgical Step Down (Premium Weekend Program)LocationPrimary Locations:Tulsa, OK 74133Employment TypeDirect HirePermanentWeekend Premium Schedule36 hours per week (3x12-hour shifts)Shift DetailsDay Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PMSchedule Options:Friday, Saturday, SundaySaturday, Sunday, MondayCompensationStarting Pay: $40.12/hour to $62 per hourAdditional incentives may include sign-on bonus and relocation assistance.Job SummaryThe RN Clinical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing nursing operations, staffing coordination, patient placement, and clinical supervision within the Cardiac Surgical Step Down unit. This role provides leadership and clinical expertise to ensure high-quality patient care, compliance with nursing standards, and effective patient flow throughout the facility.The Clinical Supervisor serves as a key resource for nursing staff, patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams while promoting continuity of care, operational efficiency, and professional development.Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Leadership & StaffingManage nursing personnel and staffing levels to maintain compliance with hospital standards and budget requirements.Evaluate and adjust staffing needs for current and upcoming shifts.Monitor attendance and adherence to scheduling policies.Provide leadership, coaching, counseling, and performance evaluations for nursing staff.Patient Care CoordinationProvide clinical expertise regarding patient placement and bed availability.Coordinate patient transfers and movement across units based on patient needs.Utilize professional nursing judgment to respond effectively to changing patient conditions.Support direct patient care activities as needed using the nursing process.Communication & CollaborationCommunicate effectively with nursing staff, patients, families, physicians, and ancillary departments.Escalate operational or patient care concerns to Administrative Supervisors and Clinical Managers as appropriate.Promote continuity of care through consistent shift-to-shift communication.Collaborate frequently with healthcare professionals and leadership teams.Quality Improvement & EducationMonitor and evaluate standards of nursing care and clinical performance.Participate in performance improvement (PI) initiatives and corrective action implementation.Identify staff education and training needs.Assist in developing and implementing in-service education programs.Support organizational goals through ongoing educational and quality initiatives.Professional DevelopmentMaintain responsibility for ongoing professional growth and clinical competency.Assist in the development and revision of unit policies, procedures, and protocols.Required QualificationsExperienceMinimum 1–2 years of related nursing leadership or supervisory experience.Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Surgical Step Down experience required.EducationGraduate of an accredited school of nursing approved by a state board of nursing.Diploma or degree in Nursing required.LicensureActive Oklahoma Registered Nurse (RN) license or valid multistate RN license required.Required SkillsStrong knowledge of disease state management, clinical pathways, and the biopsychosocial care model.Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.Strong organizational and prioritization abilities.Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze clinical and numerical data.Effective conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.Ability to make independent decisions in fast-paced clinical environments.
