Video Surveillance Systems Field Technician

We are currently seeking Video Surveillance Systems Field Technicians. Candidates must have a valid driver's license and be able to travel in the Philadelphia region. This is a short-term project that will last approximately two months. The first round of interviews will be via video. The second round of interviews will be in person in Philadelphia, PA. There is no option for a second-round video interview. Candidates must be able to work onsite in Philadelphia, PA. Due to the short scope of this position, Quantam will only be offering a competitive hourly wage and is unable to offer health benefits, paid time off, and 401(k) plan benefits.Job Description:The Video Surveillance Systems Field Technicians will support our client's Ring Camera Initiative (Public Safety + Digital Equity): support resident registration, installation of 2,000 video doorbell cameras at resident properties (locations TBD), and coordination of one-year internet enablement for households without home internet. Provide field installation and troubleshooting support for City-deployed residential video doorbell cameras. Perform site readiness checks, install and configure devices (including wired installs for ADA residents as directed), verify connectivity, deliver basic resident onboarding, and document each completion per City checklist and project procedures.Responsibilities:Conduct pre-install site checks (mounting location, power/wiring readiness as applicable, Wi-Fi signal/basic connectivity).Install, configure, and test video doorbell cameras; complete install checklist and resident sign-off.Perform wired installs for ADA residents when scheduled; otherwise complete standard installation per program guidance.Troubleshoot device/app connectivity issues and escalate to vendor support when required.Track device inventory (serial numbers), manage spares, and coordinate swaps/returns for defective units.Support event-day deployment and final block party operations as requested.Required Skill Sets:Over two years' experience installing and servicing low-voltage devices (e.g., CCTV, access control, alarms, networking) or equivalent.Ability to read wiring diagrams/schematics and perform safe installations using standard tools.Basic Wi-Fi/network troubleshooting and strong customer service communication.Valid driver's license; ability to work outdoors and perform field work safely.Desired Skill Sets:Experience with video surveillance systems and related software/tools.Knowledge of networking concepts (switches, VLANs, Power over Ethernet) and structured cabling is a plus.Skills:
