The Business Intelligence Developer is an individual contributor reporting to the Director of Data and Automation. This role is responsible for owning end-to-end business intelligence projects, from requirements gathering through implementation and maintenance. It maintains and improves critical data systems (Spectrum, HCSS) as an admin, develops and maintains Power BI reports and dashboards, and builds automation workflows. Please note: This is a full-time, in office position with no relocation expenses available. This position is open only to candidates currently residing in ColoradoResponsibilities:System Administration & MaintenanceManage admin access and maintain systemsMonitor data pipelines and ETL processes; identify and resolve data integrity issuesManage Power BI workspace structure, permissions, and refresh schedulesTroubleshoot system issues and escalate when neededPower BI Development & ReportingBuild, maintain, and optimize Power BI dashboards and reportsDesign efficient data models that are easy to understand and maintainOwn your reports end-to-end: you can explain the logic and troubleshoot issuesAutomation & WorkflowsBuild and maintain automation workflows using Zapier, Power Automate, and/or PythonImplement new automation requests; manage timelines and proactively surface blockersTest and validate automations before deploymentCollaborationPartner with stakeholders across Operations, HR, Finance, and other departmentsTranslate business requirements into technical solutionsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:3+ years of hands-on Power BI development (building reports, data models, DAX)Strong SQL skills, you can write optimized queries and xaygatp understand database structuresProven track record of owning projects end-to-end and delivering on timeKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities Preferred:Python experience (data cleaning, automation scripts)Experience with construction industry BI, accounting systems, or payroll dataFamiliarity with Spectrum, HCSS, or similar enterprise systemsExperience with data validation and quality assurance processesAutomation tools (Zapier, Power Automate, Power Apps)ML/AI conceptsAzure or cloud data platformsGit/version controlEducation and Experience:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or a related field preferredExperience: 3+ years of hands-on Power BI development (building reports, data models, DAX)
