The organization promotes a people first culture while maintaining a strong focus on performance, accountability, and growth.Job DescriptionThe Carrier Sales Representative is responsible for sourcing and managing carrier capacity, negotiating rates, and ensuring successful execution of freight shipments while delivering a high level of service to both customers and carriers.Responsibilities IncludeNegotiating rates with carriers and customers to secure profitable freight movementManaging load boards and matching freight with appropriate carrier capacityBuilding and maintaining long term carrier relationshipsPreparing and presenting competitive freight quotesPrioritizing tasks and making decisions in a fast paced, high volume environmentProviding consistent communication and service throughout the shipment lifecycleSupporting temperature controlled and general freight shipments, primarily within food and beverage supply chainsQualificationsRequiredMinimum of two years of experience in carrier sales, freight brokerage, logistics, or a related sales role, or a Bachelor's degreeExperience with cold calling and outbound sales activitiesStrong negotiation, closing, and relationship building skillsAbility to perform in a performance driven, fast paced environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong problem solving skills with a results focused mindsetPreferredExperience in freight brokerage or third party logistics environmentsExperience with temperature controlled freightExperience supporting food and beverage customersPrevious logistics sales experience with the ability to ramp up quickly and contribute immediatelyBenefitsThis company offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) with company match.
