Systems EngineerAs a Systems Engineer, your primary objective is to design, install, and maintain the infrastructure services within our Integration Center (lab) environments. You must be able and motivated to expand your technical knowledge and skills through a combination of formal training, self-directed training, and on-the-job experience.Job ResponsibilitiesSystems Engineer responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Manage compute environmentVxRailManage existing configuration management and automationFamiliar with the following operating systems:VMware ESXi, Windows Server (Active Directory, DHCP, File Share, Terminal Services), and Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu)Able to automate IaaS, PaaS technologies:PowerShellPythonAnsibleOr similar programming languages that assist in automationCreative thinker who looks for new ways to solve problemsProvide typical systems administration support (OS, server hardware & Tier 2/3 ticket support)Perform routine equipment checks and preventative maintenanceCapacity planning and performance planningEstablish and maintain good working relationships with vendorsDocument the policies and procedures to support the Integration Center Infrastructure environments and participate in the design and ongoing refinement of procedures and policiesProvide on-call support per the published scheduleQualifications Required:5+ years of experience managing a VMware environment5+ years of experience managing Windows Server and Linux Server Operating Systems5+ years of experience building automation with tools such as:PowerShellPythonPuppetAnsibleBASHExperience with monitoring systems such as:SplunkLogicMonitorTaniumTenableKnowledgeable in basic network configuration (route switch, firewall, cabling, layer 2 heavy environments, data center and campus networking, routing protocols, subnetting, IP protocols, IOSXE, Cisco ASA/FTD)Experience in managing ServiceNow tickets, as well as developing reporting and dashboardsExperience in managing projects or leading the work of others
