Physician Support Nurse (CMA/LPN) - Sandy Springs, GAPartnerMD, a membership medical practice specializing in primary care and executive health, has an employment opportunity for a Physician Support Nurse at its Sandy Springs, GA location. The Physician Support Nurse is responsible for supporting patient care in a primary care concierge medical practice with professional service, excellent patient care, and engaged support to both the clinical and management teams.ESSENTIAL ROLE OBJECTIVES:Support the physicians by providing clinical and administrative assistanceProvide physical care and carries out therapeutic and medical regimens.Obtain patient histories and medical informationTriage and assess client health concerns to determine appropriate responseAssess and report vital signs and measurements; collect specimensAdminister medications and treatment as ordered by physicianPerform procedures such as IV placement, nebulizer treatments, and phlebotomyAssist with medical and minor surgical proceduresPrepare patients for continuing care after treatment.Treat and dress woundsProvide patient education for scheduled procedures and self administration of medicationSchedule and keep track of appointmentsPrepare examination rooms; set up and maintains medical equipment and suppliesTrack and document patient status following sick visitsReferrals; Obtain authorization for prescriptions as required by insurance carriersManage electronic and faxed prescription refill requestsScanning documents to patient chartsMaintain examination room inventory and replenish as neededUphold appropriate clinical standardsMaintain safe and clean working environment by implementing and monitoring procedures, rules, and regulationsJOB QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES:Maintains a current PN license in the state of Georgia.At least two years of experience in primary care settingAble to work with a team of professionals involved in providing exceptional customer service and outstanding health careCommitted to providing outstanding patient careComputer literacy, including MS Office and electronic medical records systemsReporting And Other ExpectationsThe position will report to the Practice Manager for day-to-day supervision. The person in this position will also have significant contact and involvement with other members of the clinical team. The work will be based at PartnerMD’s office in Sandy Springs, GA. The workweek is typically Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.Non-smoking candidates preferred. This job can be physically demanding and requires standing, lifting, being able to catch a falling patient, helping a patient on and off an exam table, and other physical tasks throughout the day.
