Part-Time After-School Sneaker Design Instructor at Concorde Education

In this role, you will lead structured, hands-on sessions that introduce students to sneaker design, creativity, and the fundamentals of product design.Lead fun, interactive design activities for students in a flexible, part-time role. Classes typically meet once per week for about one hour, though some instructors choose to teach multiple programs per week depending on their availability.Concorde Education is hiring engaging instructors to lead enrichment classes that help students develop creativity, design thinking, and confidence in presenting their ideas.Instructors lead structured enrichment lessons using weekly plans while adapting activities to the needs and interests of the students.Possible Class TopicsAssignments vary by school and may include:History and evolution of iconic sneakers and footwear cultureBasic sneaker design principles (shape, materials, color theory)Sketching sneaker concepts and design mock-upsCreative design challenges and concept developmentBranding and logo design for sneaker conceptsIntroduction to marketing and presenting design ideasCollaborative design projects and student showcasesResponsibilitiesLead engaging after-school sneaker design sessions for studentsFacilitate hands-on sketching, design, and creative activitiesMaintain a positive, structured classroom environmentEncourage creativity, collaboration, and idea sharingCoordinate with school staff and Concorde program contacts QualificationsMinimum 60 college credits completedExperience in design, fashion, footwear, art, or creative industriesExperience working with youth (schools, camps, after-school programs, or tutoring)Strong communication and group facilitation skillsReliable, punctual, and professional Who This Role Is Great ForMany of our instructors are:Current or former teachers and educatorsCollege students or graduates studying design, fashion, art, or marketingSneaker designers, artists, or creative professionalsGraphic designers or illustrators who enjoy mentoring studentsTutors, camp counselors, and youth program leaders
