SUMMARY: Responsible for accounts payable/receivables, Recycle Center daily reconciliation, Recycler payouts,handles large amounts of money, balances cash/reports, change order requests, mail sorting/distribution,customer financial audits, and collections. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but not limited to: • Creates batches daily for posting payments to customer accounts Creates batches daily for depositing customer payments to bank • Collects and prepares payment of company invoices for all departments • Reconciles daily Recycle Centers/Buyback cash distribution • Process vouchers and checks for Recycler payouts and Recycling Centers 3 day holds • Process garnishment payments • Makes copies of shredding and recycle customer payments and gives to Recycle Department • Refers delinquent accounts to collections and manages referred status • Manages Business Licenses, Certificates, and DMV registrations/renewals to ensure compliance • Balance and reconcile cash/reports daily • Creates change order and prepares money when received • Sorts and distributes incoming mail • Compiles and copies required daily, quarterly, and annual reports for county and tax reporting • Updates customer credit card information prior to end of month • Adds customer secure information in to Soft-Pak • Processes recurring payments after billing close • Provides change as need for Customer Service, Scale, and Recycle Centers • Maintains an open line of communications with direct supervisor and others • Orders and maintains office supplies • Adhere to all safety procedures • Attend mandatory monthly safety meetings, which may be scheduled outside regular hours • Performs other duties as assigned SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None COMPETENCIES, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid driver’s license QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Must be insurable EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent; previous work experience in Finance preferred LANGUAGE SKILLS: Bilingual preferred – English and Spanish COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Able to clearly communicate in a professional and courteous manner with customers and co-workers; able to follow oral and written instructions COMPUTER SKILLS: Must be computer literate; knowledge of Excel, Word, and ten key calculator; able to learn company utilized software MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Intermediate math skills; able to calculate totals, count cash back, and balance cash/reports REASONING ABILITY: Able to recognize and solve problems; able to follow oral and written instructions. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Able to work independently and multitask while adhering to scheduled and unscheduled deadlines.
