2nd shift Crate Builder – Carpenter

Full Time Augusta, KS Posted on October 1, 2025 DJ Engineering has recently developed a wood shop to support our shipping departments. The Carpenter will be responsible for fabricating mainly shipping crates and pallets to ship aerospace parts and tools. Responsibilities: Using equipment such as table saws, miter saws, circular saws, pneumatic staplers/nailers, hand tools, tape measures, etc. Fabricating crates ranging from hand held size to large shipping container size. Reading blue prints to meet customer requirements. Lifting and moving lumber up to 50 lbs. Periodic maintenance of the wood shop equipment. Complete other duties around the shop as needed. Basic Qualifications: Ability to work flexible hours including weekends when needed. Candidate must show strong work ethic a dedication to quality. Candidates must possess a High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience. Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and ability to work in a very fast paced environment. Other Qualifications: Preference shown to candidates who have experience in and/or working knowledge of: Carpentry or general wood working The aerospace industry.
