Entry-level Field Civil Engineer (CMT)

NOVA Engineering is seeking an Entry-Level Field Engineer to join our Norcross, GA team supporting Construction Materials Testing (CMT) and Special Inspection projects across the Atlanta metro area.This is a salaried position with paid overtime (1.5x base rate), offering an excellent opportunity to build real‑world engineering skills while working on large-scale, prestigious projects throughout the Southeast.Primary responsibilities will include:Performing field inspection, sampling, and testing of soils, concrete, masonry, reinforcing steel, foundations, and other construction materialsAssisting with data reduction, analysis, and report preparationSupporting project management and technical reportingWorking on a variety of projects including commercial, industrial, retail, government, office, and residential developmentsCommunicating with clients and project teams to support project successCollaborating with NOVA team members to help meet project goals and company objectivesThis role is approximately 90% field-based and 10% office-based, with occasional travel.What we're looking for:We encourage entry-level and early-career graduates to apply!Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program (or equivalent international degree with NCEES credential evaluation)0–3 years of experience in construction materials testing or inspection preferred, but not requiredEngineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred but not requiredStrong communication skills and a willingness to learnInterest in hands-on fieldwork and professional growthWhy Start Your Career at NOVA?:At NOVA Engineering, we invest in your development from day one.
